shortage of books is becoming a problem

source:<http://www.ebooksimages.com/>

recently students have been complaining about the shortage of books. It is hard  to get prescribed textbooks from the books and what is even worse is not getting books at the library for assignments.

Most student are busy preparing for testes , how are they suppose to do their school work if they don't have textbooks? test dates have been set and they wont be moved just because few students do not have textbooks. what is the university management doing about this whole deal? are lecturers even  aware? " there is nothing irritating like going to a library to look for books and only to be referred to another campus" said Octavia khoza a 2nd year Humanities student.

Each and every test counts and these test add to our semester marks, so this is a very serious issue which needs to be addressed immediately before students write their 2nd test. more info can read the article by UJ Observer the March issue.

  1. The 2nd year student does not have the right to blame the management,it might happen that the reason campuses run owta books is that other students might have borrowed the books immediately when they got the assignments.

    1. the school as higher institution they should have enough books for every students....so what do you say about the shortage of books from the book shop[s/ we buying the books the least they can do is have the books available when we need them because they should know a number of students that they will be providing textbooks a year before

  3. the issue of the shortage of text books is really a serious matter because even now some books are still not available but the curriculum is moving forward. regarding the assignments its better if students go to Kingsway campus to borrow books as it has many books compared to the other campuses.

  4. Even those books that are there in the library you find that out of 20% of those books are useless.books that are essential you will find that is only 2 for whole campus first come first save.

  5. Our voice is not heard, whats the point of complaining while you not making sure the word is heard loud and clear. We pay lot of money and so in return lots of books must be there.
