Mine workers from the Marikane Mines stricking for better wages and better living conditions in the hostel picture: www.sowetanlive.com |
It is very sad how communication break down between two parties can turn into a sad tragedy, were 34 miners lost their lives and 78 were injured at the Marikane mine at North West. This incident took place last week Friday, this was caused by a wage dispute between the mine workers and and the top management of the mine, to read more..... www.sowetanlive.co.za .
This shows that there was no communication between the organisations internal stakeholders and it's top management. It is very important for organisation to communicate with it's internal members(workers) so that issues could be addressed in time and be resolved within the organisations without involving a third party or the media. Communication breakdown between the two parties did not only end peoples lives but the reputation of the organisation was also ruined in all this.
The killing of those mine workers is a symbol of exploitation by the mines. I think those responsible for this must be prosecuted for a life-time in jail for such deed. I don't know when the police have become brokers, but you know what blame it to Cele's shoot to kill...This is sad and very bad or the reputation of the SAPS as well as of that mine that takes its employees for granted
ReplyDeletei think thats too much thou, the police did what they wee tought in training camps and it was a way of self defence....but the question here is what happend to rubber bullets
DeleteIndeed is a very sad tragedy painted by communication break down between the parties. A good internal communication was not in place between miners and management. Now someone must cover up the matter so that the organisation wins its interest from the public and investers.
ReplyDeleteorganisations should start to see the need of having PRP in their organisations because if they had one this ould have been under control and now the mine is faced wih lots of cos and they are loosing because they are out of business
DeleteThis is teaklly sad as some of these dead minners were the only bread-winners for their families. i agree with you that poor communication lead to this tragedy and its a pity that no one can return the 34 lives that have been lost...BAD IMAGE INDEED.
ReplyDeletevery true, u can imagine the trauma that the families are going throuh, now what is left for the managenmnt to componsiate the famalies
DeleteI put the blame on the management for their poor communication, if they had addressed this issue before, people would have lost their lives. Its creates a bad image about their mining organisation
ReplyDeletetrue marve, thees no one to blame besides them, if they did internal communication with their workers lots of things would have bin avoided and now they had to do damage control and thjey are also loosing at the same time becaise there is no production
